File Prep
If you have already designed something you want us to use, we want to make sure we print it as cleanly and crisply as possible. (This next part might be a little technical, so if you have any questions, you can email info@happyvalleyclothes.com.)
The ideal file is a completely vectorized EPS, AI, SVG or PDF. If you are designing your file in Illustrator, please make sure you vectorize your font. (Go up to “Type” and then click “Create Outlines”). We don’t have every font in our system, so this makes sure your design comes across accurately.
If you don’t have access to vector software, please try to send the file at 300 dots per inch, actual size. Those files tend to be PNG, JPG. (They are sometimes GIF or PSD, too!)
Please make sure your file is 3 colors or fewer. If you want to count the color of the shirt as a color, 4 is A-OK. We have a wide selection of ink colors available, including Penn State’s official athletic navy and its shield royal and blue. If there’s a specific color you’re interested in, please let us know.
If your file is very small or blurry, we offer one free hour of design service per custom order. If it looks like turning your design into the right file type is going to be more than an hour, we will let you know. We may also link you to fonts or already-existing art we have the license to use, which you can swap in to save time.
You’ll always see and approve your file before we print it!

For smaller orders of 1-2 boxes, we offer flat-rate USPS shipping for $6 and UPS/FedEx Ground for $10. For larger orders of 3-15 boxes, we will calculate the weight and give you a price quote.
For extremely large Central PA orders with 15+ boxes, we can make arraignments to deliver the order directly to you. If it looks like your order is going to qualify for that, we’ll talk about the logistics and see if that’s a good fit for everyone!

Our typical turnaround time is 10-15 business days + shipping time. Please note, turnaround time is only an estimate and is not guaranteed. Our turnaround time starts when your order is paid for AND we have all information to complete your job. Complex designs or orders with extra add-ons may increase turnaround time.
 
If you have a deadline or event date for your order, you must let us know when placing your order and a rush fee may imply. Any circumstances out of HappyValleyClothes’s control (ie: weather delays, shipping errors by the supplier, etc.) may require more time and are not factored into the initial estimated turnaround time. 
We will do an order as small as 12 products per design but there will be some restrictions on size and number of colors.
 
You can always mix & match your products to reach the 12 piece minimum ie. 6 Navy shirts & 6 Navy hoods
Depending on the type of garment, our standard screen size goes up to around 12″ wide by 14″ high. Tanks and youth shirts have a narrower printing area. The front of adult hoodies have a 9-10″ maximum height due to the kangaroo pocket.
Good news — there are no setup fees or screen fees for basic one-color orders! We like to make our gear as affordable as possible. If your design has more than one color, we charge $15 per color per side after your first. The first color is always included in the base cost.
Yes, we can have your order turned within 5-10 business days + shipping time for an additional fee. If you need your order rushed, let us know when you’re placing your order. Our turnaround time starts when your order is paid for AND we have all information to complete your job.
Yes. Different shirt colors are ok as long as the ink colors are the same. If you would like to change the ink colors, you must order at least 12 of each ink color combination.
You can order any size combination you like and you do not have to order in dozens, unless otherwise stated. Is there a style of garment you like but don’t see? Email us at info@happyvalleyclothes.com and we will do our best to find what you are looking for!
Yes.  You must approve your design and make a full payment before your order heads to production.
Yes! If the garment you are ordering has a youth version in stock, you may add youth Medium and youth Large to your order for the same base price as adult S-XL. We can fit youth M-L on the same platforms we use to print adult shirts. However, youth Small and smaller do not fit, so they cannot be added.
Please speak to us to see where we are in production. If you JUST placed the order, we might be able to add to it. If, however, your order is about to be made, it might not be possible. If you are flexible about your deadline, we might be able to push the order’s due date back in order to accommodate your request.
Yes. Each order needs to be set up from scratch. If you’re printing up a big order with a lot of colors, we recommend printing extras so you don’t have to do another run later.
